19 - More progress on Bright Fantasy

This post should take about 2 minutes to read through.

This week, I spent some time correcting earlier parts of the draft. I'm following a different procedure in this project. I usually completely separate editing and writing; I write the whole novel and afterwards edit it from the beginning. However, a client of mine that always sends me very polished books to edit, told me once that every time she sat down to write, she edited what she had written last time, then continued writing afterwards. It put her in a better mindset and helped her prepare a cleaner manuscript. So, I'm trying it out.

As a result, I spotted some details I left out, and I added them in the few places that were relevant. If I hadn't been using this method, I'd have spotted those omissions only after the whole manuscript was written, so I'm shaving time from the final edit in a sense. This week, I wrote a total of 3,345 words, and I've finished 9.4% of the outline (cumulative). Our running total is 15,010 words.

Bright Fantasy LitRPG one-off (working title): running word total is 15,010 words, 9.4% of the outline written. updated

Mages' Guild book 3: outline still brewing. If Pathways sells well, this will be written right after Bright Fantasy WT. If not, it might be pushed after another one-off—but I will definitely finish it, even if it doesn't sell that well. However, if you are eager to read the continuation of Emily's adventures, recommend the books to your friends!

Monolith LitRPG series or one-off (working title): pre-outline stage.

Fantasy Sci-Fi LitRPG series (working title): at pre-outline stage.

Dark Fantasy one-off (non-LitRPG, working title): pre-outline stage.

Dark Fantasy LitRPG series (working title): also pre-outline stage.
